PRIVACY POLICY
NORTH CAROLINA TREASURY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
This is the privacy policy of the North Carolina Treasury Management Association (NCTMA) and applies to the NCTMA.org website (the "Website"). We have a firm commitment to safeguarding the privacy of our members’, sponsors’, and event registrants’ personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. This includes information about your membership, sponsorship, registration for certain events, and subscriptions to emails.
Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
When you register for a membership, a sponsorship, or an event, we ask for information such as your name, organization name, telephone numbers, and email address. We also collect the email addresses and other personal information provided during enrollment and registration, from email inquiries, forum registrations and forum postings, and from blog comments.
When making online payments for enrollments, registrations, or sponsorships, you will provide personal information and payment information according to your selected payment method (i.e., manual payment or online payment using the PayPal payment gateway). Personal information of members and event registrants that is submitted to our Website will be held by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Should you elect to make payments via the online payment method, no credit cardholder data is processed, transmitted, or stored on our Website, as you will be redirected to the secure website provided by PayPal, Inc. We are not responsible for the acts of PayPal, and PayPal’s Privacy Policy should be referenced. However, we have performed our due diligence to ascertain that PayPal is compliant with the PCI Data Security Standard, as evidenced by them being listed on Visa’s “List of Compliant Service Providers.”
The personal information we collect is used to provide membership, sponsorship, and event services, to provide communications regarding Association matters and events, for identification and authentication, for the general operation our organization, and to respond to inquiries. The personal information is not used, shared with or sold to other organizations, except that it may be shared with the South Carolina Association for Financial Professionals, and/or with the Association for Financial Professionals, in conjunction with registration for and/or promotion of an official association sponsored event; to law enforcement agencies, in emergencies, for internal security matters, or where required by court order or search warrant; or when we have your permission. For individuals that may register to attend certain conferences, limited registration information containing personal information may be provided a sponsor of the particular conference in advance of the conference, if requested by a sponsor, but only for the purpose of inviting the attendees to an event related to the conference. Limited registration information containing certain personal information may be used to prepare a “list of conference attendees,” for distribution to attendees of certain conferences, but only for use by the conference attendees to facilitate subsequent networking activities.
For members, we maintain a Members Directory within the “Members Only Section” of the Website, which may be viewed by other members that have been provided a user ID and password to the Website. When enrolling as a member, certain fields of the Members Directory are required. You have the option of preventing certain fields contained in the Directory from being viewed by other members. You may keep your membership information current by visiting the “Members Only Section” of our Website. If you wish to change or update any of your personal information contained in the Members Directory and are unable to do so, please contact us at Info@NCTMA.org.
We may periodically send emails to any individual that has ever enrolled as a member, or enrolled as a sponsor, or registered for an event. Such emails will normally be for event notifications and reminders, membership renewals, security and other notifications. An opportunity will be given you to unsubscribe to event notifications and reminders emails.
